Customize your brake for the work you do!

"ProFormer offers more options than any other brake on the market! Customize your brake for the work you do. Adding options at time of order saves money (little extra shipping charge) and your time. Some options are not available after ordering, ie the Down Flange option, other may be ordered later. Whatever you decide, you have a brake that is more versatile and saves the cost of purchasing additional machines.

ProFormer brakes are re-buildable, if you need a part not listed, call. You will be please how reasonably priced all our options and parts are. We want you to use and enjoy our ProFormers, not just buy one."

Hydraulic Assist for L, U and C Model Brakes

THE WAY to form 8’ or 10’ of 16ga or any length heavier gage up to 10’ of 12ga. You can adjust the speed so that you will achieve a 90 degree bend in about 8 - 15 seconds. If ordered with brake, you save on shipping cost and the Hydraulic Assist is installed and adjusted, ready to use. However, it can be added later. You will have to make some modifications.

Includes foot switch that can be used from either end of the brake

Down Flange Brake
Now you can form DOWN FLANGE shapes, including transverse duct, by creating openings in apron fingers and table blocks. It can truly expand the usefulness of a brake. This is an optional build and can not be added later.

Rear Operated Manual Back Gauge
This is a great time saving option if you you're making repetitive bends. Set the depth of your bend with Rear Operated Manual Back Gauge and make consistent bends time and time again. The back gauge has a usable depth of 48". Please call if you need a depth over 48".

Counter Weight(s)
Counter weight(s) are included on all 16ga, 14ga & 12ga, models and optional on all others.

Leg Kit
All ProFormer brakes are built on legs, EXCEPT 3' and 4' 16ga & lighter brakes and the L & U 48” 16ga. The L & U 48” 16ga models are available as floor models with welded on legs. All other 3' and 4' 16ga & lighter brakes have a bolt on leg kit. Unless you have a very strong table, we recommend adding this option.

Note: If additional stock fingers are order AFTER you purchase your brake, we will need you to send one 4” finger to the factory to ensure an exact match to your existing set of fingers.

Special 4" Cut Back Finger
This special finger allows you to bend 3/16" mild steel up to 4” wide without adjusting set back or clamp pressure. It is included with U models, and is optional for 16ga BP models.

Note: If the special 4" Cut Back Finger is ordered AFTER you purchase your brake, we will need you to send one 4” finger to the factory to ensure an exact match to your existing set of fingers.

Bolt On Radius Bar
This is our favorite and the one option we sell the most! Make perfect radius bends 1/16" to 1/2".
Note: Using a bolt on radius bar requires a Bolt On Apron Angle if the radius is greater than 1/4” (1/2” diameter). Depending on which model brake, the unit may already be equipped with a bolt on apron angle. See Bolt On Apron Angle information below.

Magnetic Radius Bars
If you are making several different size radius bends and want to minimize setup time, this is a real time saver. The magnetic radius bars just snap on and hold themselves without bolting. Your brake can be used at full rated capacity. And, they are also suitable for cutting into segments for use with finger brakes.

Finger(s) with Radius Added
The leading edge of straight brake clamp or box and pan fingers are machined with a radius.

Nose bars are specifically for the L Heads on L Models

Bolt On Apron Angle
A bolt on apron angle is included on all models except 3’ - 6’ 20ga brakes. Adding a bolt on apron angle to 3’ - 6’ 20ga brakes will increase the full-length capacity to 18ga. This option will be needed if using a bolt on radius bar larger than 1/2” diameter on 3’ - 6’ 20ga models. Again, all other models already include the bolt on apron angle.

1/4" Minimum Reverse Bend Apron
If desired, you may order at no additional cost 1/4" minimum reverse bend apron on L & U 8’ & 10’ 16ga model brakes. This is an extra cost on all other models brakes. The modification includes machining of the apron to allow 1/4" minimum reverse bends, and a bolt on insert to build the apron back out to 1/2". The rated capacity of all brakes assumes using all provided inserts and apron angles. When a brake is used without bolt on insert, capacity is reduced to 24ga.
