Any gauge ProFormer 6' 8' or 10'
brake, plus the 4' 12ga, is a perfect fit for hydraulic assist. Shown is a 10' 16ga brake
model L12116. Hydraulics bring up the apron slow enough for complete control - you can
stop it anywhere, bump it some more, or go all the way to 135 degrees. And the hydraulics
are fast enough that 4 big men could not keep up with it bending even 6' of 12ga.Of course, to manually bend 10' of 16ga or 14ga, not to mention 4'
6' 8' or 10' of 12ga, will take two or more men repeated "hits" hanging off the
counter weight arms. This brute force banging on the material is hard on any brake and all
men. But, with hydraulics, just push the switch and in one smooth motion and about 15
seconds you have your 90-degree bend. You can do it all day and come back tomorrow for
more!
Your ProFormer hydraulic assisted brake can be located
anywhere in your shop that a 110 volt 30 amp outlet is available. A stop rod and switch
for repeat bends is included. Counter weights are also included but not needed for
hydraulic operation. To go back to manual operation for a while, install the counter
weights, and disconnect the hydraulic rams by simply pulling 2 pins on each end of the
brake.
