"Scourge of the Seven Seas!"

BEHOLD THIS MAN!
"He is monarch of a mighty, sunken empire.
Let him nod, and armies march.
Let him scowl, and warlords tremble.
But, bitter the cup of power--
When 'tis quaffed alone--!"

[*Sub-Mariner v.1 #38 - Rascally Rich!]

This site will endeavor to explore the History of Marvel Comics' FIRST and LONGEST running original character, The Sub-Mariner created by Bill Everett for Timely Comics (Marvel's predecessor). In the process we will learn about the Scourge of the Seven Seas, his relationship to other heroes, his loves and losses. The History of Atlantis and other underwater Kingdoms. Super-Heroes groups with which Namor has been affiliated and his many relatives, friends and foes.

Please feel free to explore this site and I would certainly enjoy any feedback,

The lyrics:
"Stronger than a whale, he can swim anywhere,
He can breathe underwater and go flying through the air
The Noble Sub-Mariner, Prince of the Deep
So be wary every seaman
Lord Namor of Atlantis is the Prince of the Deep"

[The lyrics are closed-captioned on the 20th Century Fox release tapes.]
