      Hello, My name is Pholus. I am a young centaur currently attending the Prometheus Academy. My best friend is Krotos, a young satyr. He also attends the Academy. Like my new pal, Hercules, I am also a "hero-in-training," but my mentor is Chiron, the most famous hero-trainer in all Greece (and parts of Persia). Until recently I was attending a small school at the base of Mt. Helicon, but now I have an unknown benefactor who has paid my way to the Prometheus Academy. Krotos' pop, King Pan, was wealthy enough to send him, but mine, Silenus, wasn't so I'm very grateful.

A Little more about me:

      I've been training under Chiron's guidance for nearly two years and my Archery and Javelin throwing skills have greatly improved. I've also excelled at playing they Lyre and reciting the legends of all the great heroes! Now that I'm going to the Prometheus Academy I've learned so much more. My favorite classes are Mr. Ptolemy's Astronomy Class, Miss Cassiopeia's Poetry and Writing, Class, Miss Thespis' Drama Class and Mr. Pygmalion's Art Class. Some of the new friends I have made are Hercules, Cassandra, Icarus, Andromeda, Celena, Hel, Amphithea, Autolycus, Nutmeg, and even a couple of goddesses named Persephone and Iris, and a pair of twins named Castor & Pollux and Zetes and Calias. On a recent fieldtrip to Mt. Helicon I finally found out who that really cute girl in Miss Euphrosyne's Home Greconomics Class is! Her name is Euippe and I just think she's so cute. I wonder if she likes me, too. Another friend is Tempest the Amazon Warrior princess. She tried to kill me on my first day of school, but thanks to Herc we're pretty good pals now. Sometimes Herc invites Krotos, Tempest and I to visit his home on Idra Island where he lives with his trainer Phil the Satyr. Phil and Krotos get along really great (Go figure!), but I don't think Phil and Chiron get along very well at all.

      Some of the people I've met at the Academy who I don't get along with very well are Adonis, Phineus, Eris, Helen and Ajax as a few others. Actually Helen and Ajax aren't that bad, but I don't think I understand them very well. But recently we met the kids at our rival schools like Troy's Trojan Academy and Sparta's Military Academy (Spar O.T.C.). I didn't like those schools very much, though Troy's seemed like a walk into the Twilight Zone. I could swear there were clones of nearly all of us there, only meaner.
