| BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS: |
Although his appearance rarely changes from that of a hairy nosed dogface (?), Weasel is probably not his preferred name. Actually he doesn't seem to have an established name as it is typically different in nearly every tale, a trait Bad Pete basically shares. For the purpose of this list, at least for now, I will call him Weasel. Weasel is a lesser villain in Disney stories, and is always seen in tales involving Bad Pete where he is depicted as Pete's right-hand man and criminal accomplice. While not having quite the same presence as Eli Squinch, he seems to have basically replaced Eli Squinch and Sylvester Shyster as Pete's partner, which allows Pete sole leadership in whatever plot is being hatched. Whenever Pete appears with the other two he either takes a subordinate role or is constantly vying for a dominant position. In his one film appearance he has much less hair on his long muzzle, but was still recognizable, and he used the name Yardarm (Pete was called Sharky). Weasel has appeared as recently as "Goofy Adventures" #6 in "The Thief of Zanzipar" (Nov. 1990), where his name was Sarid (Pete's was Sahib). Weasel has also appeared amny times without Pete, though still teamed up with yet another overweight fellow criminal who is usually a dogface, but who's name also changes from tale to tale. This "other" lackey who appears as Weasel's subordinate has a remarkable resemblane to Dangerous Dan McBoo. |
