Little Gum is a visitor from another dimension whose only form of sustenance is bubblegum. After studying him, Gyro Gearloose says that Little Gum has the inherent ability to change the molecular compound of chewing gum into any form he desires. His debut was in Topolino (Mickey Mouse) #1707 (August 1988) written and drawn by Giulio Chierchini. In this tale Little Gum arrives into the Duck's universe and teams up with the Beagle Boys to fight against Super Donald, but by the end of the story he has switched sides and work with Super Donald to defeat the Beagle Boys. Little Gum and Donald Duck become friends. In subsequent stories he often helps the Ducks as well as Super Donald. Although his name is an English name rather than Italian, Little Gum is his original name in the Italian comics. |
