| BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS:
||Dijon the Thief, while an obvious Arabic stereotype, Dijon is a very likable character. Dijon is an obsessive kleptomaniac, but he only steals items of great value, which he then stuffs into his loosely fitting clothing and pretends not to notice the constant clanking and jingling which results. Dijon has appeared in several episodes of "Disney's DuckTales" and in the theatrical film "DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp." Actually his appearances in the television series were in two serialized stories. The first time he appeared was in "Attack of the Metal Mites" when Flintheart Glomgold hires Dijon to infest $crooge McDuck's monetary holdings with insects who thrive on devouring all forms of metal (even coins). This event earns Scrooge's ire. Next $crooge encounters Dijon while at a bazaar somewhere in the Middle East ("The Golden Goose"). Dijon annoys Scrooge again and attempts to hideout in a holy shrine. Here we find that he has a good and moral brother named Poupon who is a member of a holy sect responsible for guarding the "Golden Goose." While hiding he pretends to reform from his thieving ways only to be tempted with stealing the "Golden Goose," a mistake which nearly destroys the world. Finally, for some unknown reason, $crooge hires Dijon to be his guide while treasure hunting in Saudi Arabia for the lost treasure of Collie Babba in the theatrical film "DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp." Dijon now becomes the unfaithful servant to the eveil sorcerer Merlock and is forced to steal a majic oil lamp which imprisons a genie.
