Andold Temerary is an ancient Scottish warrior who appears in many Italian stories by Marco Rota. Andold is the commandant of Walstaen Castle (Castello Malcot) in its battles against Viking attackers, where he earned the nickname "Wild Duck." He was order by his own commander Pokus Mac Bonus (Little but Good) to reside within the castle walls. Andold not only looks like Donald Duck, but is apparently one of his ancestors. In Andold's first appearance, written by Gaudenzio Capelli, he was simply a dream that Donald imagined, but starting with his second story, "L'Arrosto della Salvezza" from 1980, he was a real person whom Huey, Dewey, and Louie read about in a history book. In this story Andold also gained some new features, including a duck face atop his helmet which mimics his every facial expression. Regular supporting cast in the Andold stories include: Little Bo (Piccolo Krack) and Big Brutus (Grande Bluff), two guards from Walstaen Castle. Little Bo is enormous and Big Brutus is tiny. In the first Andold story Bo's modern-day equivalent is Donald's postman, Ob. Aydis (Lady Paperina) is Andold's love interest who is the likeness of Daisy Duck. |
