I strive to build a strong foundation in a horse. Once a fundamental and solid footing is established, the horse can then go on to show, work, and attain the fullest potential for their breed.
The same philosophy is applied with young and amateur riders. After a novice rider is mentored and understands the reasoning of the proper disciplines, they become ready to go on to the next level. Their hopes, and aspirations as horsemen begin to become a reality. This is the basis on which I build, in order to encourage progress in both the horse and rider.
I began in California years ago, participating in stock horse as well as roping events. Then, as today, both disciplines are very strong and highly competitive. It was upon that early foundation, I learned and developed throughout the years that I still practice today in my daily barn routine.
Amateur and youth programs are very important in my work. I believe it is the young and the willing, those who to want to learn and improve their skills, who are the future in the horse world. By mastering the proficiency of successful Showmanship and Western Horsemanship, the young rider is actually molding their own success for the future!
During twenty some years in the horse training business, I have shown horses at all levels of competition and disciplines. Reining and Western Pleasure are a strong part of my program. I do all phases of western events. Some of the other services I offer include: breaking, training, sales, and of course, equestrian lessons for all skill levels and disciplines.
