Franco Mannino conducts the Rome Opera Theatre Orchestra and Chorus
at the Colosseum in Rome, Sunday, July 23, 2000.
Giving the arena back its stage after 1500 years capped an eight-year-long restoration of the monument,
making it now possible to have the same center-stage view of the imposing Colosseum
that the gladiators had moments before they met a bloody death or gloried in victory.

I am very disappointed and actually angry that there wasn’t a notice/posting about the upcoming Regional IX Consumer meeting being held next Tuesday in San Francisco. If Iris Hyman, from the Department of Health and Human Services, had not e-mailed me, I would have had absolutely no knowledge of this meeting. How come? It seems strange that the CNMHC didn’t send out notices. What in the world is going on?
I heard about a Ph.D. exam in philosophy allegedly given at Harvard University. The student walked in and opened the envelope and the question was a single word, “Why?”

The student wrote down, “Why not?” and sealed the envelope, turned it in, and walked out.

I heard about this event on <slpsr> courtesy of David Oaks. Why did this happen on a private list instead of on the public discussion list <mhocca>?

Why not?
