I have made an appointment to meet for one hour with Sen. Chesbro’s field representative to discuss mental health reform. I am taking with me two very fine ladies whose families have been impacted by the mental health system of care. We plan to be brief in our stories, and long on recommendations.

It has been my experience that when reform of any kind is in the air, all voices get listened to,and we intend to be heard. If this does no good, and as the reform dialogue progresses through society without meaningful change being seriously considered, I for one would be ready to “ACT UP – NOT OUT” and take it to the streets! I hope it doesn’t come to that, but I am ready if it does.

The squeaking wheel still gets the oil!!
