I was close with Elaine, although I never met her in person. She died in the context of a Mayday celebration in Dublin. Her passing and pain were much on my mind when Sue passed away some 10-12 days later.

Which is a direct quote from Barack Obama, last week 9/19.I was speaking to my sense that a certain kind of way of being is under the most brutal of assaults, that people like Troy, Sue, Elaine have been trapped in a lethal social dynamic. Each of them said so, and .. saw it coming.
