Appropriate post, Yza.

However it's worth noting that the system's habit of leaning on "learned helplessness" or in this case falling back on old patterns of dysfunction is facing a "snake in the grass." Like the NAMI post below indicates, there's Bronzan's "Network of Care" being imposed on the counties by DMH. Going back to the "same-old, same-old" is supposed to be transformation?

On the other hand the issue of torture has become bigtime in the American Psychological Association, and now "learned helplessness" has been identified as the ideation behind today's practices. The very next step is for them to notice that such a behavioral management approach permeates the 'mental health' system and .. there is becoming a positive need to challenge that kind of dynamism, within psychology and within our movement.

Before change, is when the need for change becomes urgent.
