Based on my personal experience and observations, and discussions with three clients designated as Seriously Mentally Ill Adults, I can report the folowing: Humboldt County Mental Health Adult Day Treatment Program had seventy SMI Adults. That program has been reorganized. It now serves only 15 SMI Adults with Intensive Day Treatment. The remaining clients are told that they must be enrolled in some program, and if not, there is talk about them being sent to Crestwood. They may NOT spend their day in bed. and they are told that going to the Peer Recovery Center is a program that is acceptable to staff. At the Adult Services sub-committee of the HCMHB, I asked the manager of that program how many clients had recovered in the first three months of operation, she replied that I was attacking her, and that she didnt have to answer a question that was asked in that manner. Are there any state wide figures on how many clients have recovered, using the PRC model? Respectfully Tom HarkinsHumboldt County | ||||||||
