Subject: Re: [s-acc] Police handling of incident with mental health client

Uvw:

Have you met Scott Whyte the Far South Regional coordinator of the CNMHC, he has a background in law enforcement, from Canada, and is well know in law enforcement in Orange County, and s[its] on the Crisis Intervention Team as a mental health client.  If there is any one who in the CNMHC Org. that should have a view point on how "Police handling of incident with mental health client", it would be him.

I have been working with the Coalition for Justice and Accountability in San Jose since 2003, which is built around the shooting of Bich Cau Tran (a mental health client) for holding up an Asian Vegetable Peeler). Today our advocacy has upgraded/reorganized based on the 2009 shooting of Daniel Pham, whose parents called 911. I was one of the speakers at the rally last Monday in front of City Hall that marked the 1st anniversary of his "12 bullets" experience that has broken the trust of the Vietnamese community in the police.

I understand Mr. Whyte also works as a "private investigator."

Has Scott given any reassurance regarding his values?
