Subject: [no-list] G.C. initiative

I think we should take up the G.C. initiative and determine where we should start with it. Full implementation will take years, but we have to begin where we can now. What is that next step to be taken to facilitate that broad-based structure?

Subject: [no-list] terminology

We've been through this for more than 30 years now.

There is no word for ourselves that we are all going to unite around. No matter what term we pick, some are going to feel left out. That is the reality of "consumer", "client", "survivor", consciousness in the here and now.

I had nothing to do with the drafting of the G.C. proposal. Nevertheless, I suspect that this is why the proposal went out of its way to emphasize that each member is free to choose identifying language.
