The issue for me here is "torture denial."

Whether it is torture denial that is rationalized as "I can't work it out with my 'mentally ill' kid" or as "We can't struggle against the 'clinical gaze' because it is too hard" that frames the "facts."

The cell phone she used to call for help.

Trizuto is one of the thousands of parents nationwide who unconditionally love their children but are terrified of them at the same time.
