Perhaps you should speak to the family of a teenage girl in Tucson who was stabbed to death by a woman who was discharged from Kino Hospital mental health team whilst still visualizing her demons.
Or alternatively you could ask me how it feels to live without my sister because I DIDN'T ask for her to be taken into hospital to assess the level of her depression.

This speaks to a general level of concern and a hitherto unsolved problematic of engaging violence in real time.
An approach I've learned from standard social work regarding DV type violence issues, goes in 4 stages.
Because of the feminist movement, this part of the violence picture has been regarded quite extensively.
I find that if one extends this perspective from the institution of committed relationship/marriage to a broader framework of "institution," strong parallels can [often] be derived. The present institutional arrangement is - as you know - quite deficient in fully engaging that concern.
I'm sorry about your sister and there is grief in my world too. I'm still trying to understand how Sue Poole died, while trying to challenge her oppression/abuse experience.
Best wishes
