Subject: [dopactivist] Creating an efficient U.S. Department of Peace

Hi Peacemakers,

After 4 years of being on the DoP campaign trail, I was motivated to produce the below audio/visual and MS Word content. In these days of national financial distress, this may be a DoP legislative "logjam-breaker" strategy to help free up the HR808 from perpetual Federal committee obscurity.

Below are YouTube links to a presentation I gave at the October San Diego AFDOP PeaceMasters meeting regarding the creation of a U.S. Cabinet-level Department of Peace utilizing existing Federal offices. The proponents of a Department of Peace often hear objections to the creation of such due to a revulsion to create more government bureaucracy and a cynicism that government is inefficient in its operations.

The Dept of Peace is the Missing Peace in our Govt - Part 1

The Dept of Peace is the Missing Peace in our Govt - Part 2

You can find supporting documentation for the presentation at that provides more details on some of the information and relationship flows that can occur to efficiently utilize our taxpayer dollars to make a U.S Department of Peace a reality. The document titled "Congresswoman Davis cover letter" provides an explanation of my motivation for doing the research and giving the presentation. Congresswoman Susan Davis of Congressional District 53 (San Diego) is one of the 70 Co-Sponsors of the Department of Peace and Non-violence bill in the House of Representatives (HR808). She had asked to receive a copy of my research. The cover letter also provides a "How-to" guide to read the below three documents:

  1.   Summary of Existing Federal Department Offices Proposed for Transferal to the Dept of Peace

  2.   Details of Existing Federal Department Offices Proposed for Transferal to the Dept of Peace

  3.   Dept of Peace Inter-governmental Collaboration Opportunities

You will also find a document that describes what actions an individual can take to establish a U.S Department of Peace.

Love, Light, and Peace,
