Yes this language is in draft form, and we are working at present, the new language that will be out next week is still a draft. The changes that we recently did do not reflect all the changes that are forthcoming. We have been assured that as we progress we will have input into the language. We will keep everyone up-dated as it progresses.

There is a long history in the CALM Boards of ‘bylaws changes’ being the cover for power plays to control the organization.

Changing the law at the state level seems to me to be liable to the same kind of mis-construction.

The way the changes were presented in the draft provided has the odor of this sort of abuse, anyway that’s how I read Dick’s analysis.

In order for the clients to support this change, I’d say we’d need to have the olfactory question addressed unambiguously and have the proposed changes make sense to people.

Changing the MHB/C law is not something that a small select group of people can figure out but others can’t follow.

It seems to me that the most blatant problem with the AB14 arrangement is that discrimination is legal against clients and commonly is used to attack the bona fide participation of clients on the MHB/C’s.
