FAMILY PICNIC
Our Council held their third annual family picnic at Jim and Connie Jordan's ranch on Uncle Joes Lane in Newcastle on Saturday, August 14th. There were activities for the whole family including: Pitching horseshoes, bounce house for the kids, catch and release fishing in the bass pond.
We thank Steve and Mary Jorgensen for organizing the event. We also thank "Cool" DJ Harvey Weybrew for providing the Oldies but Goodies music from the past which we all enjoyed. Of course we also appreciate and thank Jim and Connie for offering their home for this event. Among the attendees were some of our oldest members. Barney Gruber, WWII veteran U.S. Marines. We thank him for their service to our country. Many thanks to Gordon and Daune for preparing and cooking the sweetest and delicious corn-on-the-cob.
