In celebration of the settlement of the Magyar Federation of 7 nations from north of the Black Sea to the center of Europe, Hungarians and their friends will be celebrating at home and abroad the foundation of their homeland. This is a celebration of the people and their origins and way of life rather than political institutions or entities. Almost half of the Hungarian "nation" is outside the boundaries of the state of Hungary, many dispersed in the world at large. To all of us this is an occasion to remember our common heritage and origins.

Our aim is to review the times of these events, the history, culture, anthropology, language, religion and music of the people of the late 9th century. In this way we may obtain a clearer understanding and appreciation of their times. We would like to fill the tremendous void found in European and World history concerning Hungarians.

We invite our readers who are planning celebrations in their communities to send us the information on the time and place as well as organizers, and programs to share with all of us. We will include a calendar of events of these programs to help spread the news to all who are interested.
